John Lennon's creative work is considered in the context of national English tradi-tion. In particular, a poetical and literary nonsense tradition has been perceived by Lennon from Carroll and it found its aspect in his music and poetry. Unexpected and unordinary manifestation of humorous nature in songs, such as "I am the Walrus", "Tomorrow Never Know", "All You Need Is Love", reflect different sides of paradoxical talent of the Beatles founder and his influence on rock music.
